From my cosy kitchen in Singapore we are enjoying Bak Kut Teh 肉骨茶(Literally translated as Spare Rib Tea) as lunch today. This is a famous Soup in South East Asia. This can be served with Rice or noodle. I am serving my Bak Kut Teh with Mee Suah (Flour Noodle) & some blanched Green Veggie.

Usually in Asian kitchens people cooks White Fungus & Papaya to make a sweet Dessert Soup but today I am making a Savoury Soup. Cooked Savoury Papaya White Fungus Mushroom Dried Prawns Soup. Peppery and yummy. Don’t be fooled by the bright orange colour of this Hong Kong Papaya which I bought on Redmart Online more than 1 week ago. I used it for cooking because it has just ripen and is still too firm to eat as fruit.

Blessings from my kitchen in Singapore to all members reading my post. Day 16 on Circuit Breaker Mode, 22 April 2020. Today I made a Chinese All Time Favourite Old Cucumber Soup which Mothers love to cook and serve their family with. Then I serve it with Dried Mee Suah 面线 (“Mian Xian” in Mandarin, thin Longevity Wheat Flour Noodle) and Green Xiao Bai Cai (小白菜)。 This Old Cucumber Soup serve with Mee Sua in Abalone Sauce is a creative way of serving lunch.

Fresh mint soup

Blessed Friday from my kitchen in Singapore. STAY AT HOME to cook nice food and share here to all readers. As I was checking my fridge, I found 2 big bunches of Fresh Mint. As I have some Dried Prawns and 2 Salted Eggs, I decided to cook Fresh Mint Soup. I will be cooking 2 portions, one for my Samurai and one for me.

Blessed Monday from Singapore. Went to supermarket to stock up some essentials for the week. Saw and bought Red Spinach, some Japanese Shirasu (Mini WhiteBaits) & some Dried Prawns. Made a nutritious Red Spinach Shirasu Soup with some Red Glutinous Rice Wine Lee for my Samurai as a light Lunch before he goes out to meet his friend to catch up.
