Cooked this International Stew for my loved ones using ingredients from different countries, hence the name “International Stew”.

For the ingredients, I had Roast Duck bones (which I kept in the freezer), half a Cabbage cut to big slices, 1 thumb sized Ginger cut to thin slices, 1 Onion cut to quarters, half a Old Cucumber (remained from the previous cooking) which I removed the skin and cut to quarter.

I also have 4 slices Ham cut to big slices, 2 Red Chillies (slit open) and 3 TBS small black Fungus, which I soaked till expanded and remove the hard base.

Yummy Simple Stew

Nothing goes to waste in my kitchen. Using the left over part of Honey Baked Ham and part of the Roast Turkey together with 1 big Onion, 8 Shallots and 2 big Tomatoes, I cook this yummy simple stew.

After boiling for 1 hour, the stew tastes so yummy. Counting our blessings on the close of year 2020.

First, satue shallots and cut Onions in a pot.

Add in cut tomatoes.

Add in the meats and water.

Cook the stew for one hour for the flavour to be fully release from the meat and vegetables. A heart warming yummy simple stew.

Yummy Guilt Free Stew

To balance up with the last few rich meals from Roast Turkey, Honey Baked Ham and Roast Pork Knuckle, I decided to have a good guilt free stew.

I boil 1 Turkey Carcass with 30 shallots, 1 thumb sized Ginger (cut to slice), 2 big Tomatoes (cut to quarters), 1 Red Apple (remove core and cut to quarters), half a big round Cabbage (cut to smaller pieces) and 3 big Potatoes (remove skin and cut to big pieces).

Bring all ingredients to a rapid boil with 10 cups water, then simmer with low heat for 1 hour, flavoured with Knorr brand 1 Chicken Instant Soup Stock Cube, Himalayan Pink Salt to taste and a few dashes of Pepper.

We (Samurai and me) enjoyed this yummy guilt-free stew.
