Breakfast
For my Chinese New Year Breakfast, we are enjoying the Kueh Lapis Cake (Spiced Layers Cake) blessed by good friend Xiao Ling. I treasure friendship.
GEISHA CAT’S SPECIAL GINGER SAUCE
Dont want to pay over S$6/- for a small bottle of Ginger Sauce sold from a famous Restaurant Chain in Singapore, I concocted my own formula and successfully yielded 2 big and 2 small bottles. One of my good friends who loves this Ginger Sauce will be blessed with 1 bottle. Sorry I won’t be sharing my secret formula. I called this Sauce GEISHA CAT’S SPECIAL GINGER SAUCE.

Breakfast
My Chinese New Year 2nd Day first meal of the day. Pomelo as my fruit, pan fried Egg with Butter on a slice of Bread with Maggie Seasoning and Pepper and a glass of Chinese Tea.
Eat light. Chinese New Year lasts for 15 days with yummy rich food so I need to control what I put into my mouth!
Recipe Sharing: Chicken, Yam & Potato Dish
Tonight created a Chicken, Satoimo Yam n Potato Dish using my secret formula’s GEISHA CAT’S SPECIAL GINGER PASTE to cook. I have 5 cuts of Chicken from 1/4 big Chicken, marinated with 1 TBS Salt, a few dashes of Peppet n 1 tsp Sugar. I pare the skin from 5 Satoimo yam. Also remove skin from 4 big Potatoes, then cut each to 2 pcs. Remove strings from 200g Sweet Peas. (read more…)

Breakfast
Good morning. Start my 4th day of Chinese New Year with a very refreshing BREMNER’S Vegan Caesar Juice to start my day. This chilled juice tastes a little peppery hot. Very nice.
Cooking Lunch
Today is the 4th day of Chinese New Year. Using my cute electric rice cooker to make a yummy dried Oyster (海蛎子) Japanese Niigata Koshihikari Short Grain Rice with my secret formula of GEISHA CAT’S SPECIAL GINGER SAUCE.
Presoak 1/2 cup Dried Oyster, rinse and drain 1 cup Koshihikari Short Grain Rice. Fill these into electric Rice Cooker, add in 1 1/2 cups water, stir in 2 TBS Geisha Cat’s Special Ginger Sauce, on the switch to cook rice. My kitchen is filled with the good aroma now. Patiently waiting.

Enjoying Lunch
Chinese New Year 4th day lunch. Enjoying my own cooked Dried Oyster Koshihikari Short Grain Rice with my secret formula GEISHA CAT’S SPECIAL GINGER SAUCE.
Our side dish is Saute Bacon with own stained Yellow Tau Kwa, Prawns with China Leek in Oyster Sauce flavour. Yummy and satisfied with the excellent combination.
Hami Melon
China Hami Gua 哈蜜瓜 (Hami Melon) is so sweet and fragrant. Will go to buy again this week.
