Recipe Sharing: Assam Fish with Prawns and Okra
Craving for some Spicy Sour Sweet Flavour in our meal, so I cooked this Assam (Tamarind) Fish with Prawns with Okra, Onion and Tomato, served with my cooked Rice. (read more…)

Today is my very busy day, interviewing Contractors to do rectification & Renovation work to my home. So I just managed to do a 13 mins cooking by microwave and this dish “Sweetcorn, Potatoes, Carrot and Onion with Black Sesame Salt and Mozzarella Cheese” turned out to be a yummy meal.
I cut 1 Sweetcorn to short sections, 5 big Potatoes to 1/2 cm slices, 2 small Carrots to slices, 2 Onions to wedges and 4 slices Bacon cut to short strips.
Just put all these in a Pie Dish and microwave on high for 10 mins.
Then sprinkle with Black Sesame Salt and scatter Mozzarella Cheese all over, microwave on high for another 3 mins
Ready to serve with some Wasabi dressing. Tastes so good. This portion can feed the 3 of us as a meal.

CATherina Dines Out
Had a good Thai meal together with my Ex participant of my Cooking Workshops and turned good friends for years.
Kok Jin shares the same interest in Cooking and Baking and we spent hours catching up and sharing ideas on recipes.
We had yummy Thai Steamed Otak Otak and Thai Tunghoon Salad plus other dishes. We treasure our friendship and happy to know we have known each other for over 20 years!
At my Rooftop Garden
Was at my roof garden enjoying the breeze and fresh air after watering my plants. Just came down to my kitchen.
Coriander Turmeric Honey Date Drink
Sharing with you my creation, a good brew drink known as “Coriander, Turmeric Honey Date Drink.”
I have a small bunch of Corriander Leaves, about 5 stalks; 1 small thumb sized of fresh Turmeric which I bashed with my clever, 1 big seed of Dried Honey Dates.
Put all these into a pot with 6 cups water, bring to a quick boil then reduce heat and simmer for 15 mins. Off heat. Strain the drink.
Can serve hot or leave it to chill in the fridge. If you want sweeter can stir in some honey to taste. But I don’t add honey.

1) Coriander has multiple health benefits. Coriander or cilantro is a wonderful source of dietary fiber, manganese, iron and magnesium as well. In addition, coriander leaves are rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin K and protein. They also contain small amounts of calcium, phosphorous, potassium, thiamin, niacin and carotene.
2) Turmeric and especially its most active compound curcumin have many scientifically-proven health benefits, such as the potential to prevent heart disease, Alzheimer’s and cancer. It’s a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and may also help improve symptoms of depression and arthritis.
3) Honey dates are an excellent source of dietary fiber, folic acid, iron, potassium, protein and B-vitamins.
