Recipe Sharing: Penne with Veggies in Japanese Curry
From my kitchen in Singapore I am sharing with you a dish I just created.
I make use of San Remo brand 100% Organic Brown Rice Penne, 5 Long Beans, 3 big Shiitake Mushrooms, 2 slices Honey Ham cut to shreds, Japanese VERMONT brand Curry Roux Blocks, 1 TBS Butter, 1/2 cup Water, 1 cup Evaporated Milk, 1 tsp Sugar and some Japanese pickled Red Radish known as Fukujin Tsuke. At Home Sweet Home, enjoying a nutritious balanced CHOOK 粥 (porridge),cooked with Pumpkin, Dried Scallops, Onions and Geisha CAT’s secret Formula Ginger Sauce, served with Coriander Leaves, Sichuan Fermented Bean Curd 豆乳 and Pickled Lettuce. Light & easy for the stomach.

From my kitchen in Singapore with love to all of you. Staying at home, took out 500g Xiao Bai Cai小白菜, 1/3 can of LIBBY’S brand Corned Beef with Onions (100g) and 1 serving of cooked Short Grain Rice I kept in the chiller and Butter. (read more…)

Kombucha
Start my day drinking a glass of own made 2F Ginger Pineapple Kombucha which I harvested on 5 June 2020 and kept in the fridge. Look at the bottle, it is still active and fizzleing! Still taste gasy and good.

Nobody can say anything about you. Whatever people say is about themselves. But you become very shaky, because you are still clinging to a false center. That false center depends on others, so you are always looking to what people are saying about you. And you are always following other people, you are always trying to satisfy them. You are always trying to be respectable, you are always trying to decorate your ego. This is suicidal. Rather than being disturbed by what others say, you should start looking inside yourself…
Whenever you are self-conscious you are simply showing that you are not conscious of the self at all. You don’t know who you are. If you had known, then there would have been no problem— then you are not seeking opinions. Then you are not worried what others say about you— it is irrelevant!
When you are self-conscious you are in trouble. When you are self-conscious you are really showing symptoms that you don’t know who you are. Your very self-consciousness indicates that you have not come home yet.
If you have a man in your life who helps bring balance to your world, who isn’t perfect but is perfect for you, who works hard and would do anything for you, who makes you laugh but drives you crazy, who is your best friend and sometimes your only friend, who you want to grow old with, who you are thankful for and truly adore, let him have his moment and put this as your status
If you want to get, you must be willing to give. Relationships need nurturing from both ends. Don’t expect people to spoil you with love. Initiate it and people will love you forever.

Lunch
Using my new microwave to reheat up the Pumpkin Rice Porridge cooked with Dried Scallops, Onion and Tomatoes which was kept in the freezer for a few days ago.
Served with fermented Tofu Cubes known as Furu 腐乳 and Pickled Lettuce低盐咸菜心. A very satisfying light lunch for me. Paired with Cranberries Juice.
Dinner
Take out my electric Pressure Cooker to brew Chicken Bak Kut Teh肉骨茶。
Using the Bak Kut Teh prepack I bought from Penang, Malaysia, the brand is TIAN EAN from Tian Ean Local Products (M) Sdn Bhd, 90, Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, 10050 Penang, Malaysia. Tel 042298130 or 042298903.
I just added 2 TBS Geisha CAT’s secret formula Ginger Paste to marinate 1/4 whole Chicken cut to pieces, add 15 pips Garlic without skin and 1 sachet Bak Kut Teh herbs with spices and 1.5 litres water. Fill all up in my electric Pressure Cooker to cook for 30 mins. Will serve with Mee Suah later. Patiently waiting.
