The rain has stopped. Laundry time for me. Meantime using my Electric Glass Cooker to brew a savoury soup using Dried Scallops, Spare Ribs, Yellow Old Cucumber (this is specially good to cook soup), a thumb sized Ginger and 10 Red Dates.
Put all these into the cooker with 2,000ml water. Set the timer and in one hour’s time, this yummy soup is ready for my lunch.

Our dinner I cooked at Home Sweet Home. Bought very fresh Chinese Leek as it is abundantly available near Chinese New Year and this is seasonal.
I cut 2 cuttlefish (about 7 inch long) to rings, marinate with a little Himalayan Pink Salt and a little Sugar. Cut 4 stalks Chinese Leek, divided stem part from the green leaves. Cut 2 big fresh Shiitake mushrooms to strips.
Heat up 2 TBS Oil, first saute the Chinese Leek stems till soft, added in Cuttlefish rings and 1 tsp Indonesian made Mercon brand Sambel Teri Merah (sambal made with anchovies and shallots).
When cuttlefish is half cooked, added in remaining Chinese Leek Leaves and Shiitake. Toss well and add in some Chinese Light Soya Sauce to taste and a little more Sugar. Off fire when cuttlefish is cooked through and veggies are cooked too.
Switch off heat. I serve with the remaining Mutton Nasi Biryani which I packed home last night. I microwaved to heat up. Don’t waste food.

Thanks to my Samurai who went to Kinokuniya Bookshop @ Takashimaya Shopping Centre to pick up this Japanese Food magazine for me, then went opposite to Paragon Shopping Centre, Shimbashi Soba to pack home this yummy TEN-DON (Tempura Prawns with Mixed Veggies on Rice) for me as lunch.
Feels his LOVE for me. I am counting my blessings.

Recipe Sharing: Egg Noodle with Tofu, Shrimps, Onion & Celery
Cooked Dried Egg Noodle with Tofu, Shrimps, Onion, Celery as Sauce for Toppings. I defrosted 1 packet of 500g shrimps, seasoned with 1 tsp Sugar, 1 tsp Salt, a few dashes of Pepper and 2 TBS of Shao Xing Wine. (click for full post…)
