East meets West Dinner
Eating our East Meets West dinner now. It is Chestnut Stuffing from Roast Turkey, Potatoes and Beansprout cooked in Brown Sauce, eaten with Sourdough Bread dipped with the sauce. Super yummy taste. My Samurai had 2 servings!

Recipe Sharing: Egg Noodle with Tofu, Shrimps, Onion & Celery
Cooked Dried Egg Noodle with Tofu, Shrimps, Onion, Celery as Sauce for Toppings. I defrosted 1 packet of 500g shrimps, seasoned with 1 tsp Sugar, 1 tsp Salt, a few dashes of Pepper and 2 TBS of Shao Xing Wine. (click for full post…)

Let’s Enjoy Lunch
Bought half a Roast Duck for S$20/- from People’s Park Complex Hawker Centre. Very yummy.
Bought S$8/- Siew Yoke烧肉Roast Pork from People’s Park Complex Hawker Centre. The skin is Pok Pok Chui卜卜脆 crispy n nice.
Bought this very yummy Cantonese Signature dish Claypot Braised Fish Head which comes with Napa Cabbage, Broccoli, Deep fried Tofu, Black Mushrooms, Snow Peas, Siew Yoke Roasted Pork, Deep fried Yam, Cauliflowers, Red Chillies complete with a Satin Sauce. Very yummy for S$23/- from People’s Park Complex Hawker Centre.
Lunch
A light meal I cooked for my beloved Samurai.
First bring to boil 400ml water with 1/4 tsp Japanese Ajinomoto brand Hondashi granules (with Sea kelp and Bonito Fish base), pour in 1/3 cup of left over cooked Short Grain Rice to simmer with 1/3 cup of Fish Slices seasoned with a little Salt and Pepper, crack in an egg on top, cover with lid and simmer till Fish and Egg are cooked. Off heat and transfer to a bowl.
Garnish with a little chopped Chinese Celery or Coriander Leaves or Spring Onion. Before eating dribble in a little Light Soya Sauce and a dash of Pepper.
The drink today is Nescafe Gold with Milk without Sugar.

Miso Gochujang Duck
Bought a duck. Created a new recipe known as MISO GOCHUJANG DUCK.
Remove duck fat & skin and divide into 2 parts. One part with just bones, duck feet and wings to save up for making soup another day. The remaining meaty part I cut to pieces and cook Ginger Miso Gochujang Duck. (click to read the full post…)

Shrimp Wanton Abalone Ojiya
At our Home Sweet Home I cheat-cooked Shrimp Wanton and canned Abalone to make Ojiya (Japanese Rice cooked with stock) with the green You Mai Chye 油麦菜 and White Shimeji Mushrooms.
First open the instant packet of Shrimp Wantan, add 2 cups water and bring to a boil with the attached Seasoning Powder.
Then add in sliced canned Abalone, 1/2 cup cooked Short Grain Rice, to boil for 3 mins.
Add in Green You Mai Chye, followed by 1 packet of White Shimeji Mushrooms.
Adjust seasoning by adding in a little Himalayan Salt and a dash of Pepper. Ready to serve piping hot.
