Turning canned Premium Baby Abalone Chicken Treasure Pot (盆菜Pen Cai) into our luxury lunch today. Making Healthy Barley Baby Abalone Chicken Treasure Potage.
Preparation:
Usually when I open the big can of Premium Baby Abalone Chicken Treasure Pot, I will portion it out to 4 tupperwares (plastic containers) and freeze it so that I can use it any time I like.
Today I thawed 2 tubs of Premium Baby Abalone Chicken Treasure Pot and also thaw a small tub of cooked Barley Grains (which I saved from boiling Barley Water as my cooling drink)
Next, roll cut 5 Asparagus, rinse 8 Cherry Tomatoes, 3 Big Shiitake Mushrooms which I cut to thick slices and a small bunch of Coriander Leaves to be used as garnishing.
Cooking:
First, in a pot, I heat up the two tubs of Premium Baby Abalone Chicken Treasure Pot, add in 1 small tub of Cooked Barley Grains and 250ml water. Bring to a rapid boil. I used Barley because it is high in fibers and we are not pairing this dish with Rice today.
When the potage is boiling rapidly, I add in the Cherry Tomatoes (remember heated Tomatoes release more Lycopene in it), Asparagus and Shiitake Mushrooms to heat through.
Add 1 TBS Light Soya Sauce and off heat immediately.
Garnish with Coriander Leaves and serve piping hot with a little Pepper. Am feeling like a Queen eating this luxury Healthy Barley Baby Abalone Chicken Treasure Potage with Asparagus and Shiitake in my Home Sweet Home with my Samurai.
