Blue Pea Drink
Making my Magic Colour Drink again. First photo shows Blue Pea Flowers added with warm water. The colour turns to beautiful BLUE. By adding Ringo-Su (Apple Vinegar) which I bought from my Aomori trip in Japan, the water immediately turned to beautiful PURPLE.

Was out the whole day. Just came back and enjoying my glass of YELLOW Healthy Drink.
I bashed 1 thumb sized fresh Turmeric, boil with 5 cups water for 10 mins, add in 3 TBS Goji Berries and boil for a further 5 mins. Off heat and stir in 3 TBS Honey. Leave it to cool and chill in the fridge overnight before drinking. A refreshing healthy drink.

A Prayer
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phi 4:6-7

Nama Wakame
Came back from Meidiya Japanese Supermarket at Great World City Shopping Centre. Bought Nama Wakame (Fresh Wakame Seaweeds coated with Salt). I repack into smaller portions and freeze them. Easier to thaw when I want to use them for cooking.

Dine out for Lunch
Was at Great World City replenishing my Japanese Cooking ingredients from Meidiya Japanese supermarket. Felt hungry as I didn’t have lunch so I went upstairs to the Food Court and ordered both the Raw and Deep Fried Spring Rolls and Mango Salad from the Vietnamese Stall. Yummy. I was there at 2.30pm, the Food Court was rather empty!

Donburi
What is DONBURI in Japanese cuisine? It is Japanese Short Grain Rice filled in a Donburi bowl with a cover with your choice toppings you preferred.
I cooked Beef and Green Xiao Bai Cai小白菜 as toppings on our Donburi tonight.
I have 250g Shabu Shabu cut Beef which I cut to 2 inches length and season with 3 TBS Kikkoman Soy Sauce, 1 TBS Sugar and 3 TBS Cooking Sake.
I rinse a packet of 500g Xiao Bai Cai and divide the stems from leaves.
I have 2 bowls of cooked Japanese Short Grain Rice to fill 2 Donburi bowls.
In a non stick fry pan I melt 1 TBS Butter then saute marinated Beef till almost cooked then add in the stems from the green veggie.
After 1 min, add in the green leaves and cover with lid for 2 mins.
Open the lid and toss well. Off heat immediately and fill up the 2 Donburi bowls arranging Beef in the centre, surrounded by Green Veggie and the gravy.
Itadakimasu! (Lets eat). My Samurai enjoyed!

Lunch: Pearl Barley Porridge with Roast Duck & Veggies
This is how I cook Pearl Barley Porridge with Roast Duck and Veggies using *Mizkan brand Tonkotsu Nabe Tsuyu 750ml (Pork flavour Hotpot Base).
I used 2 cup of water to cook with 1/2 cup Pearl Barley to make a savoury Barley Porridge together with the following ingredients: 1 cut Onion, store bought half Roast Duck (chopped up) with 1/3 cup Roast Duck Sauce, 1 thumb sized Ginger (cut to slices), 1/4 Cabbage (cut to smaller pieces), 1 packet Enoki Mushroom (cut to short length), white part of 1 packet of Spring Onion, 1 packet Shimeji Mushroom break to smaller florets, 1 bundle Coriander, just use the root part. Put all ingredients together and cook till Barley is plumped up.
Lastly add in chopped green part of Spring Onion and Coriander Leaves. A piping yummy hot nutritious Duck Veggies Barley Porridge is ready to serve. Itadakimasu.
