Happy Labour Day
We wish all a Happy May 1st Labour Day. Stay safe, healthy and Happy.
Cook with LOVE always. This is my power. My Happy Samurai enjoying his favourite Nishin Soba at Ristorante Catherina. He said taste exactly the same as the famous MATSUBA Restaurant from Kyoto main street near Gion. Every trip to Kyoto he must dine at this restaurant. I am happy to receive his compliment.
May 1st 2020 Japanese Wagyu Potato, Onion and Traffic Light Capsicum I cooked with Teriyaki flavour. Enjoying eating and watching Japanese TV program now with my samurai.

Blessed Saturday everyone. Enjoying my cup of Nescafe Gold with Milk and reading the Chinese newspaper to start my day.
2 May 2020. In my kitchen in Singapore. I created a Sweet and Sour Fish using Strawberry Jam & MIZKAN Brand Kantan Su (Flavoured Cooking Vinegar, 味之康牌简单醋) with Traffic Light Capsicum & Onion. Good taste and looking nice too.

3 May 2020. Blessed Sunday to all. Going to harvest this small pot of Spring Onions and use them for my cooking.
3 May 2020, on Singapore’s Circuit Breaker Mode Day 28. To all members, this is from my kitchen in Singapore. This is the way I cook a Savoury Oatmeal as the first meal of the day and paired up with a cup of hot Korean Honey Ginger Drink.
I use Taiwan made QUAKER brand Oatmeal that comes with Black Rice and Mountain Yam 淮山 (Huai Shan in Mandarin) 4 TBS which I ground finely and stored in a bottle ready to cook anytime. (You can use any Oatmeal you have). A few stalks of own grown Spring Onions, I snipped them short with scissors, 1 TBS of Goji Berries, 1/4 tsp KNORR Brand Aromat Enhancer and a pinch of Himalayan Pink Salt.
First boil 1 cup 250ml water and drop in Oatmeal to boil, stirring till there is no lumps and cooked. Drop in Aromat Powder, a pinch of Salt and Spring Onion. Off heat and pour into a bowl, garnished with Goji Berries. Eat Happy Live Healthy 健康愉食。

Taking a Break
Take a break from doing my work. Made myself a pot of Chrysanthemum Tea to relax for a while then continue with my work.
Chrysanthemum is a plant. It gets its name from the Greek words for “gold” and “flower.” People use the flowers to make medicine. Chrysanthemum is used to treat Chest Pain (angina), High Blood Pressure, Type 2 Diabetes, Fever, Cold, Headache, Dizziness & Swelling. In combination with other herbs, Chrysanthemum is also used to treat Prostate Cancer. As a beverage, Chrysanthemum is very popular as a Summertime Tea in Southern China.

I love Tua Pao大包 (Big Meat Buns) since a small child. 2 years ago while attending a Cooking Workshop I made friend with a guy sitting next to me.
During our conversation we talked on Pao Making and I told him I am a great fan of Pao, especially Tua Pao. He then asked me to follow him to try his Pao stall within walking distance from where the workshop was held. I ordered Tua Pao & a few other Dim Sum items. A bite on to the Tua Pao the nostalgic taste of it since I was a young 6 years old came back.
I felt great happiness and satisfaction and had been telling my friends and participants of my workshop about it. Look at the photos showing all the items I bought today from my favourite ZHEN ZHENG Shou Gong Pao.真蒸手工包。The photo shows the 3 outlets and Handphone Nos.

5 May 2020 Boys’ Day in Japan. Day 30 on Singapore’s Circuit Breaker Mode.
Enjoying the Japanese Chinese Fusion dish of Pork Knuckle I created. Best combination of taste!
Today is 5 May, in Japan it is Boys’ Day. Usually we hang a pole with Koi Fish Cloth lantern outside the homes to celebrate this day. Very pretty.
Feel so blessed and loved by my young friend who posted these Reusable, Anti-bacterial & Water-resistant masks for us with a note, Stay Healthy, Stay Safe. I know this young lady since her University Day as my Culinary Workshop Participant, now mother of 2 teenagers.
